In this guide, you learn how to create leads in CRM.
Prerequisites:
- Name
- Title
- Phone
- Lead Source
- Territory
- Lead Status
Note 1: Territory can be created from Setup – Territory – Create.
Note 2: Lead status can be created from Setup – Status – Add.
Note 3: One of the statuses should be named “Converted”. To convert the lead into Account, Opportunity
Ensure all the Prerequisites are met to create a Lead in CRM.
CRM ‘Lead’ features:
CRM ‘Lead’ provides you with a vast number of features like Activity, Chatter, Email, News, New task, Log a call.
To create a lead, follow these steps:
1. Select Lead from CRM Dashboard.
2. Next, click on ‘Leads’ which will take you to the ‘Lead’ page overview.
3. Then click on ‘Create’.
4. A Lead creation form appears on the screen.
5. Enter all pertinent fields of a form, Name, Title, Email, Phone, Lead status, Lead source, Territory, Date, Mobile, Company, Opportunity, Country, State, City, Zip code, Address, Description.
6. To save the Lead click on ‘Submit’.
7. To cancel lead creation click on ‘Cancel’.
